..and I live in the Austin area. They’ve actually gotten a lot more things started recently, still a long way to go though. The dubstep night at Barcelona is really good though actually.

@coolbluebox: I actually had the pleasure of working in Austin for a couple months, and while I did miss the Denver scene while I was there, it wasn’t completely devoid of good electronic music, you just have to dig a little deeper to find the right events. Have you been to the TeknoSounds forum? They list electronic events, some of which are dubstep-oriented.

I’m not sure if you are over 21, but Flamingo Cantina sometimes has dubstep shows, and there is apparently a BIG dubstep weekly at Barcelona on Sundays:
